The Pennharmonics are Penn State University's premier all-gender a cappella group and are based out of State College, PA. The Penns, as their fans call them, have been revolutionizing the a cappella community over the last 30+ years, creating all of their own arrangements. They have released several studio albums, including their newest album, "Lineage," which was released in January 2025 and is available on all streaming platforms. Their 2017 single "Spirit Cold", which has an accompanying music video, was included in the 2017 Voices Only compliation. Their 2014 album, "Black Cloud Silver Lining," was selected for the BOCA (Best Of College A Cappella) 2015 compilation album, and received multiple CARA (Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards) nominations and a CARA award. Known for their dark and edgy style, The Pennharmonics have developed a balance between underground selections and mainstream favorites to create an innovative and unique sound that appeals to all audiences.
